Felder-Infrastrukturentwicklung läuft in Deutschland und Kenia

Exciting progress is being made at our MultiStress field sites in Germany and Kenya as we move closer to the first experimental season!

In Waake, Germany, the field area is now fully fenced, and construction of the rainout shelters will begin on March 23. These structures will allow us to precisely simulate drought conditions and other controlled stress scenarios. After Easter, we’re looking forward to hosting an Information Day for the local community to share insights about the research goals and planned activities at the site.

Meanwhile, in Siaya, Kenya, our partners have already cleared the field and successfully sown a cover crop to prepare the soil for the upcoming experiments.

Together, these milestones mark the first tangible steps in building the research infrastructure that will support our combined investigations into multiple stress interactions in maize across two contrasting environments.
